Prayer Requests

Below are a list of things that will be constant prayer needs during these 5 months at the Children's Home. More specific prayer requests will come up in regular posts.

For the Children:
(Only God truly knows what the children need, especially as individuals, but these are some things that came to mind when thinking about the children)
  • Hearts that are open to receive the gospel
  • That each child would be saved and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Spiritual, emotional and physical healing
  • Breaking of spiritual strongholds and the turning of darkness to light
  • God's love, joy, peace and comfort in their lives (that they will know they are loved!)
  • God's presence seen and felt in real ways
  • The outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon their hearts to help them understand the Scriptures and give them a thirst for God
  • Safety, good health and overall well-being
  • God's special care and blessing upon the littlest ones

For Us:
(Emily, Jonathan, Daniel and myself)
  • A close personal walk with Jesus
  • Faith and trust to believe in Him with all our hearts and obey Him
  • Protection from the powers of darkness
  • Open eyes and hearts to truly see these precious Indian children as God sees them
  • To love the children with Christ's love (that His love would just flow in and through us to them)
  • Guidance and direction when planning devotions, messages and school lessons
  • Humility in all we do
  • Constant surrender and obedience to Christ and the leading of His Spirit
  • Unity amoung our team and Indian co-workers
  • Wisdom and grace for navigating culture, language barriers and various challenges
  • Strength, endurance and good health
  • Guidance and protection during travel and on different excursions

Other:
  • The area we are staying in is very dry which makes farming difficult for the villagers, so please pray for RAIN
  • Good health for our host family (health challenges)
  • Strength, wisdom and grace for Mary Akka, the girls' hostel warden (a wonderful lady who is pouring out her life to serve these children)
  • Salvation for the boys' hostel warden, who does not yet know Christ
  • God's blessing, power and peace for the entire staff at the Children's Home and His beautiful presence to be seen and felt in this place
  • Salvation for the Hindu villagers (that God would be continually moving upon their hearts, showing them truth and drawing them to Himself)

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened" (Matthew 7:8-9).

Thank you, each and every one of you, for your prayers! Please know they make all the difference!
